Tool “COVID-19 for labor management”

Tool “COVID-19 for labor management”

On May 15 and 19, included in the online seminar program that the Ethical Trade Forums (ETF) are organizing, the “Covid-19 Guide to Labor Management” was presented. This tool has been developed by the Working Group formed by twelve companies from the sector.

More than 100 companies participated in this online seminar, which discussed the several challenges for workers in companies in the fruit and vegetable sector in this new reality. At the end of the presentation, an interesting exchange of information was established through questions and comments provided by the attendees, some of which were integrated as an improvement in the final version of the tool.

You can access to this tool here (Coming soon in English version): Covid19 Aspectos laborales

COMMUNICATION GROUP OF SPAIN ETHICAL TRADE FORUMS

COMMUNICATION GROUP OF SPAIN ETHICAL TRADE FORUMS

Having a good Communication tool is important in order to make visible the actions that take place throughout the year at the Forums.

In addition to the periodic meetings in Huelva, Almería and Murcia, and the international meetings in Seville and Murcia, for the past few years a collaborative network developed by the Working Groups has been growing around the forums, consolidating the Forums action lines gradually and helping growers to reaching their objectives.

Within these groups conformed by volunteers from the companies involved, there is the Communication Working Group, conformed by representatives from different regions and with the aim of giving visibility to the Forums work through the different communication platforms that are currently active. The Group is also responsible for implementing some planned actions such as the Best Practices Awards for 2021.

In support of this group, Jesús Ollero, a professional journalist has joined the team recently. He will give an important boost to the group. We want to extend our warmest welcome.

Of course, this group has room for anyone who wants to participate, in which case you should contact to:  comunicacion@conexionsocial.com

ON-LINE SEMINAR COVID-19

ON-LINE SEMINAR COVID-19

On April 14 and 15, the online seminars focused on the Covid-19 were held in which nearly 100 attendees participated.

There were two sessions of just over an hour, in which Tamara Garrido from S&A Produce and Guadalupe Jaldón from SAT El Dorado explained in detail the tool developed by the Covid-19 Working Group.

After an extraordinary presentation, the attendees raised some questions about the content of the document and its application in companies. During the discussion, additional content and material were provided, which was later incorporated into the final document.

All the attendees who filled the event survey later, confirmed that they were going to implement this tool or parts of it at their companies.

Seeing you very soon!!

Seeing you very soon!!

Today, March 27, we would all be gathered in the Almería Forums event, the third of this always exciting week in March, together with the Huelva and Murcia events.

Unfortunately, due to the situation we are experiencing in Spain and in the rest of the World due to COVID 19, many of us find ourselves working from home.  But there are others still attending daily to their work posts because they are essential for everyone. Among them are growers and pickers, transporters and warehouse and supermarket staff, since without them feeding cities would not be possible.

Today, more than ever, we feel proud to be part of a sector that is essential and especially supportive in these hard times and we want to thank you all for your effort and commitment.

We are sure that when the storm passes we will emerge stronger and more united than ever.

For this reason, we want, from the Ethical Trade Forums, to send a message of encouragement to all of you and your families. We hope that you are all well and that very soon we can meet again to continue building a better sector all together.

In the meantime, we share some photos of last year’s events

Take care & go ahead. We are looking forward to seeing you very soon!!

Due to the situation of health alert in Spain because of the spread of Covid-19, we unfortunately need to delay the celebration of the Ethical Trade Forums events in Huelva, Murcia and Almeria at the end of March.

Depending on how this situation evolves and as soon as it is determined that they can be celebrated with any health risk, they will be convened again in the same locations.

See you soon!
