A space of trust, a laboratory of experiences, a team work

The goal of the Ethical Trade Forums for Suppliers is to offer a safe space to share experiences and discuss about the challenges we have in terms of working conditions in our environment. We jointly seek new ideas or practices to be implemented in companies and work as a team to improve the working conditions in the agricultural sector. In this edition of 2018, the Ethical Trade Forums took place in Seville, on November 6, and in Murcia, on November 8.

The topic to be discussed on this occasion was the Hiring and Ethical Management. In these forums in November, a must-attend event for all the players in the sector (supermarkets in the United Kingdom, importing companies, main producers and packers …), we presented a summary of the work carried out in 2018 by the Working Groups of Murcia, Huelva and Almería.

The purpose of the Forums is for participants to discuss the challenges faced by companies in the agricultural sector, share ideas and good practices. We will show examples of companies operating in the sector that are implementing programs to improve the living and working conditions of workers in the supply chain.

These meetings are aimed at managers, directors and key operational personnel, responsable for managing human resources and managing the welfare of workers in production sites.
